Saint Francis Faith Formation
"The mission of the Faith Formation program at St. Francis of Assisi Church is first to help parents to fulfill the promises they made at their children´s baptism by being the primary and best catechists in their children´s lives. We further serve all who seek to deepen their relationship with and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the teachings of his church."
As we face the challenges of an ever changing world, the Faith Formation Ministry strives to build community in our hearts by sharing our faith, strengthening family bonds and promoting social justice. We actively live in peace as we: celebrate our faith through worship and sacramental preparation, provide formation for children and families and share our gifts through giving public witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our program follows the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies
The program offers the finest in up-to-the-minute catechetical reflections, exercises, and activities based on the words of Jesus Christ and on his Gospels as celebrated weekly at Sunday Mass. At the same time, the program is filled with the basic teachings of the Catholic faith.
In addition to the rich catechetical experiences found in the weekly lessons, each child receives
“What the Church Believes and Teaches” – a handbook, that helps teachers and parents review and reinforce the basic teaching that need to be mastered at each level.
